Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the financial operations of our construction company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring project costs, managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial reports, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting management with financial analysis related to construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Maintain accurate accounting records and general ledger entries.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Reconcile bank accounts, vendor accounts, and customer accounts.
- Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts.
- Assist in budgeting and financial planning activities.
2. Construction Project Accounting
- Track project-wise costs including labor, materials, subcontractor expenses, and equipment costs.
- Monitor project budgets and identify cost variances.
- Prepare project profitability and cost analysis reports.
- Ensure accurate allocation of expenses to specific projects.
- Support project managers with financial information and budget monitoring.
3. Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process vendor invoices and subcontractor payments.
- Verify payment certifications and supporting documentation.
- Follow up on customer invoices and collections.
- Maintain aging reports and manage outstanding receivables.
4. Taxation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other applicable tax regulations.
- Prepare and file statutory returns within deadlines.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Maintain proper documentation for audits and inspections.
5. Payroll & Employee Reimbursements
- Process payroll accurately and on time.
- Verify employee reimbursements and expense claims.
- Maintain payroll records and statutory deductions.
6. Internal Controls & Documentation
- Maintain organized financial and project-related documentation.
- Implement and follow internal financial controls.
- Support internal and external audit processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
Experience:
- 3–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction, infrastructure, or real estate industry.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, ERP systems, etc.).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of construction accounting principles and job costing.
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance requirements.

Compensation

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
