Job Title: Biomedical Engineer Trainee

Job Summary:
Kinder Hospital Kollam is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Biomedical Engineer Trainee to join our technical team. The trainee will assist in the maintenance, calibration, and management of medical equipment, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with hospital standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of biomedical equipment
- Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and calibration of medical devices
- Troubleshoot and support repair of equipment in coordination with senior engineers/vendors
- Maintain records of equipment inventory, service logs, and compliance documentation
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory guidelines
- Coordinate with clinical and nursing staff for equipment usage and handling
- Support in vendor management and follow-up for AMC/CMC services
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Biomedical Engineering or related field
- Freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of experience can apply
- Basic knowledge of hospital equipment and maintenance practices
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and work in a hospital environment
Preferred Skills:
- Understanding of medical equipment such as monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, etc.
- Basic troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of biomedical safety standards
