Position Title: Caretaker & Maintenance Staff – Director’s Residence
Department: Administration / Residential Support
Location: Kolkata
Reporting To: Director / Administration Head
Salary: Rs. 20000.00 to 25000.00 (As per experience, responsibility, and efficiency)
Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable, disciplined, and trustworthy Caretaker & Maintenance Staff for the Director’s Residence who can manage the overall upkeep, cleanliness coordination, maintenance supervision, and day-to-day support activities of the residence.
The candidate should be well-mannered, responsible, and capable of handling residential maintenance and coordination work efficiently while maintaining complete confidentiality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Residence Maintenance & Upkeep
- Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of the residence premises.
- Monitor electrical, plumbing, AC, lighting, and household utility systems.
- Coordinate with service providers and technicians for repair and maintenance work.
- Ensure all household equipment and appliances are functioning properly.
Supervision & Coordination
- Coordinate with housekeeping staff, drivers, cooks, security personnel, and other support staff.
- Supervise daily maintenance and cleanliness activities.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the residence.
Vendor & Service Coordination:
- Follow up with electricians, plumbers, carpenters, internet providers, appliance technicians, and other vendors when required.
- Monitor timely completion of maintenance and servicing activities.
Inventory & Utility Monitoring
- Maintain stock of household supplies, cleaning items, and maintenance materials.
- Monitor utility requirements and report shortages when necessary.
Safety & Security Support
- Ensure proper locking/unlocking of residence areas when required.
- Monitor safety and security-related issues within the residence premises.
- Immediately report any unusual incidents or maintenance concerns.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist in guest arrangements and household support activities when required.
- Support Director and family members in coordination-related tasks.
- Perform additional responsibilities assigned by management or family office from time to time.
Required Skills:
- Basic knowledge of residential maintenance and facility coordination
- Good communication and interpersonal behaviour
- Responsible, trustworthy, and disciplined attitude
- Ability to coordinate with multiple household staff and vendors
- Understanding of confidentiality and professional conduct
Experience Required
- Minimum 3–6 years of experience in caretaker, facility maintenance, or residential support role preferred.
