Job Title: Unit Finance Manager
A unit Finance Manager in a 4-star hotel is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance, managing budgets, controlling costs, and providing strategic financial guidance to improve profitability.
Reporting To
General Manager / Owner
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting and finance operations.
- Prepare monthly MIS, Profit & Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports.
- Develop and monitor annual budgets and forecasts.
- Control departmental costs and improve profitability.
- Monitor Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP).
- Supervise payroll processing and statutory deductions.
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and other statutory requirements.
- Reconcile bank accounts and monitor cash flow.
- Coordinate with auditors, banks, and government authorities.
- Prepare daily revenue reports and financial analysis.
- Monitor inventory valuation and cost of goods sold.
- Implement internal financial controls and SOPs.
- Support management with financial planning and decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B. Com); MBA Finance, CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent preferred.
- 5–8 years of finance experience, with at least 3 years in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of hotel accounting practices.
- Experience with hotel PMS/ERP systems (Hot soft, IDS, Opera, SAP, Tally Prime, etc.).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting.
- Assistant Finance Manager in a 4-star or 5-star hotel.
- Experience handling multiple revenue centres such as rooms, restaurants, banquets, and bars.
