About the Role
The Project Head for Andhra Pradesh & Telangana will be responsible for leading end-to-end execution of Solar and Wind Power Projects across both states. This leadership position drives planning, engineering coordination, construction, installation, commissioning, and handover while ensuring strict compliance to safety, quality, timelines, and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Execution

Lead complete lifecycle of Solar and Wind EPC projects from pre-construction to commissioning.

Develop detailed project schedules, resource plans, and execution strategies for multiple sites.

Ensure timely achievement of key milestones including land readiness, equipment delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning.

Coordinate with the Design & Engineering team for project-specific drawings, load analysis, and technical feasibility reviews.
2. Site Construction & Installation Management

Oversee site mobilization, construction activities, civil works, module/WTG installation, electrical works, and grid connectivity.

Ensure compliance with quality standards, technical specifications, and approved construction methodologies.

Monitor performance of contractors, subcontractors, and labour workforce; ensure contractual adherence and productivity.
3. Commissioning & Handover

Lead testing, commissioning, and energisation activities as per regulatory and utility requirements.

Ensure seamless handover of completed assets to the Asset Management/O&M teams.
4. Regulatory, Safety & Compliance

Liaise with state DISCOMs, Transco, SLDC, CEIG, NOC providers, and other regulatory bodies.

Ensure compliance with AP & TS-specific electrical, safety, and renewable energy regulations.

Drive EHS culture across all project sites; ensure zero deviations and zero-fatality execution.
5. Budgeting & Cost Control

Own project budgets, cost tracking, and cashflows.

Ensure procurement planning and material availability in coordination with SCM.

Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies to avoid delays and cost overruns.
6. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

Lead a multidisciplinary team of Project Managers, Site Engineers, Quality, EHS and Contractors.

Mentor & develop regional project teams to drive operational excellence.

Maintain strong relationships with clients, utilities, government agencies, and local stakeholders.
Required Skills & Competencies

Proven experience delivering large-scale Solar and Wind EPC projects (minimum 18+ years).

Strong understanding of construction, installation, electrical works, and commissioning processes.

Excellent stakeholder management across clients, contractors, utilities, government bodies.

Proficiency in project planning tools (MS Project/Primavera).

Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Fluent in Telugu – must be able to manage local teams, authorities, and vendors effectively.
