Position- Staff Nurse/Senior Staff Nurse
Requirement of Qualification and experience :
- Qualification: GNM / B.Sc. Nursing/ Post B.Sc. Nursing (Registered Nurse with State Nursing Council)
- Experience: 1–3 years of ICU experience preferred.
- Working in rotational shifts is mandatory.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Receive and assess critically ill patients and prioritize care based on their condition.
2. Monitor and record vital parameters, ventilator settings, fluid balance, and intake-output accurately.
3. Administer medications, IV fluids, and oxygen therapy as per the physician’s orders.
4. Prepare and assist during medical and surgical procedures in ICU (intubation, central line insertion, etc.).
5. Observe and identify changes in patient conditions and report immediately to the doctor.
6. Ensure availability and functionality of life-support equipment (ventilators, defibrillators, monitors, infusion pumps, etc.).
7. Maintain strict aseptic and infection control practices during all nursing interventions.
8. Maintain accurate and updated documentation in patient charts and ICU registers.
9. Provide emotional and physical support to critically ill patients and their families.
10. Assist in code blue and other emergency situations promptly.
11. Ensure readiness of crash cart, suction apparatus, and emergency medications in all shifts.
12. Maintain continuous monitoring of ventilated patients and respond to alarms appropriately.
13. Follow nursing care plans as prescribed by the treating consultant.
14. Participate in daily rounds with doctors and ensure follow-up of all orders.
15. Perform nursing procedures such as tracheostomy care, suctioning, IV cannulation, and catheterization.
16. Assist in transfer and transport of critically ill patients ensuring safety during movement.
17. Ensure safe handling and disposal of biomedical waste as per HIC guidelines.
18. Check and replenish inventory of consumables, emergency drugs, and sterile supplies daily.
19. Participate in infection control, quality, and mortality review audits.
20. Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethical nursing practices.
21. Educate patients and families regarding procedures, care plans, and discharge advice.
22. Participate in ongoing nursing education, drills, and skill training sessions.
23. Adhere to International Patient Safety Goals (IPSGs) and hospital standards.
24. Report incidents, near-misses, and equipment malfunctions immediately to incharge.
25. Perform any other duty assigned by the Nursing Incharge or Nursing Superintendent.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
