Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Jr. Interior Designer at the Praxis Group office in Gurugram. The role focuses on CAD-based drafting, preparation of interior working drawings, quantity derivation from drawings, and supporting design documentation and presentations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, develop, and modify interior working drawings using CAD software (layouts, joinery, electrical, plumbing, and other interior elements).
- Convert concept designs into detailed working drawings suitable for execution.
- Derive quantities (BOQ / quantity take-offs) accurately from drawings to support estimation and tendering.
- Assist in incorporating BIM-based inputs or coordination requirements where applicable.
- Update drawings based on site inputs, coordination needs, and design revisions.
- Assist during site visits for measurements and drawing verification.
- Coordinate drawings with contractors, suppliers, and internal team members.
- Prepare simple work-related documents in MS Word, such as reports, notes, and coordination records.
- Create basic PowerPoint (PPT) presentations for internal reviews and client discussions.
- Maintain and organize drawings, models, and project documentation.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD) for interior drafting.
- Ability to read drawings and extract quantities accurately.
- Basic understanding of BIM concepts and workflows.
- Working knowledge of MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
- Attention to detail and understanding of interior execution drawings.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Degree / Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
- 2–6 years of experience in interior drafting or design support.
- Exposure to joinery, electrical, and plumbing drawings.
- SketchUp and Photoshop skills preferred for basic 3D views and presentations.
- Familiarity with BIM coordination processes is an added advantage.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
