HR Manager — Dhatu Organics
Location: Mysore, Karnataka (on-site) Experience: 2-3 years Reports to: Founder / Leadership
About the Role
This is a hands-on, end-to-end role — you'll be responsible for getting our statutory compliance in order, setting up HR processes from scratch, managing recruitment, and being the go-to person for all things people-related.
If you enjoy building systems rather than just maintaining existing ones, and you're confident handling compliance independently, this role is for you.
What You'll Do
Statutory & Compliance (top priority)
- Ensure PF, ESI, PT, gratuity, and other statutory filings are accurate and on time
- Draft and maintain compliant employee contracts, offer letters, and appointment letters
- Build HR policies aligned with labor law (leave policy, POSH compliance, working hours, etc.)
- Handle statutory audits or inspections as needed
HR Operations
- Own the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, documentation, exits, full & final settlements
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR MIS
- Coordinate payroll inputs (attendance, leaves, deductions) with accounts/payroll processing
- Set up leave, attendance, and policy documentation systems (largely from scratch)
Recruitment
- Manage end-to-end hiring across departments — sourcing, screening, interview coordination
- Build a simple, repeatable hiring process where none currently exists
Employee Relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee grievances and concerns
- Support managers on performance issues, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution
- Drive employee engagement initiatives suited to a 50-person team
Systems & Process Building
- Build foundational HR infrastructure: policy documents, HRIS/tracking system, standard templates
- Bring structure and consistency to a function that hasn't had a dedicated owner before
What We're Looking For
- 2-3 years of HR experience, with solid hands-on exposure to statutory compliance (PF, ESI, labor law)
- Comfortable working independently and building processes without heavy oversight
- Experience across the HR lifecycle — not just recruitment or just compliance
- Strong communication skills; able to handle sensitive employee matters with discretion
- Prior experience in a small-to-mid-sized company (30–100 employees) is a strong plus — you understand what "lean HR" looks like
Good to Have
- Experience setting up HR systems/processes from scratch (not just operating existing ones)
- Familiarity with HR software/HRIS tools
- Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or D2C companies
