About the Role
We are seeking highly motivated Design Release Engineers with expertise in Body-in-White (BIW) and Closure Systems development.
The selected candidates will be responsible for the design release, engineering development, validation, and production launch support of vehicle body structures and closure components across new vehicle programs.
This role requires close collaboration with design, manufacturing, CAE, quality, purchasing, and supplier teams to deliver robust and production-ready vehicle structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end design release activities for BIW and Closure components.
- Lead component development from concept through production implementation.
- Create and maintain engineering release documentation, BOMs, DFMEA, and DVP&R.
- Coordinate packaging studies, vehicle integration activities, and design reviews.
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility and cost optimization.
- Support prototype builds, validation testing, and production launch activities.
- Drive engineering change management (ECR/ECO) and release processes.
- Resolve fitment, dimensional, quality, and manufacturing concerns.
- Ensure compliance with vehicle safety, durability, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in cross-functional reviews and program milestone activities.

Required Skills
- Strong experience in Automotive BIW and Closure Systems development.
- Expertise in Design Release Engineering processes.
- Knowledge of sheet metal design, welding, joining technologies, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in tolerance stack-up analysis and GD&T.
- Hands-on experience with CATIA V5, CATIA V6, or Siemens NX.
- Understanding of APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, DVP&R, and engineering change management.
- Knowledge of vehicle packaging and body integration requirements.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to coordinate with global teams and suppliers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical, Automobile, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Experience with Automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers.
- Knowledge of crash, durability, and body structure performance requirements.
- Exposure to global vehicle development programs.

Ideal Candidate Profile
✔ 5–10 years of Automotive BIW or Closure Design & Release experience
✔ Strong expertise in sheet metal and body structure development
✔ Hands-on CATIA V5/V6 or NX experience
✔ Experience managing complete component release lifecycle
✔ OEM or Tier-1 automotive product development background preferred.
Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
