Job Title: BOQ & Estimation Executive for Interior Design Company
Job Description: We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented BOQ & Estimation
Executive for Interior Design Company who can bring our Project costing and
valuation to an excellent shape by applying the latest costing techniques. The ideal
candidate should have a strong sense of material knowledge, site measurement
understanding, furniture understanding, finishes and aesthetics, an eye for detail,
and the ability to interpret design briefs/photorealistic renders and drawings into
meaningful BOQs (Bills of Quantities) that reflect accuracy, reality and robustness.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Prepare detailed BOQs from approved design layouts; cross-check against current vendor rate cards
2. Conduct first-level accuracy review on all BOQs before Sales Head review or client presentation
3. Revise BOQs within 24 hours of any confirmed scope change; produce change comparison reports
4. Maintain an updated rate card library: materials, labour, vendor pricing, and seasonal variations
5. Coordinate with Operations and design team for any scope changes during the course of the project and cater to such changes by adjusting the costs including getting rates from vendors/contractors and getting the same approved by the clients
6. Coordinate with Operations for site-level cost validation and actuals reconciliation at project close
Qualifications/Skills:
1. Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
2. 5–6 years quantity surveying or estimation in interior design industry focused on residential interiors.
3. High numerical accuracy; advanced Excel proficiency for BOQ preparation
4. Familiar with interior finish specifications: tiles, carpentry, false ceiling, electrical, paints, finishing materials such as laminate, veneer, etc.
5. Strong attention to detail and flair to handle costing efficiently and accurately.
