The Area Manager will be responsible for driving sales, distribution, market expansion, and operational excellence across the assigned territory. The role involves managing distributors, overseeing sales teams, ensuring product availability, achieving sales targets, and maintaining strong customer relationships to maximize market penetration and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned area.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market share and revenue.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the distributor and retailer network.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
Distribution Management
- Appoint, manage, and support distributors within the assigned territory.
- Ensure adequate product availability and efficient distribution coverage.
- Monitor distributor performance and stock movement.
Team Management
- Lead, train, and motivate the sales team to achieve business objectives.
- Conduct regular field visits and performance reviews.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and reporting standards.
Retail & Market Development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, dealers, and key customers.
- Ensure proper product visibility, branding, and merchandising across outlets.
- Resolve customer complaints and service-related issues promptly.
Operations & Reporting
- Monitor inventory movement and coordinate with production and logistics teams.
- Prepare sales reports, market feedback, and performance analysis.
- Ensure timely collections and maintain healthy receivables.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in FMCG, Food & Beverage, Dairy, or Ice Cream industry.
- Strong knowledge of sales, distribution, and territory management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and sales reporting tools.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
