About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Sourcing Manager – Household Products to lead the end-to-end sourcing of household products for our retail business. The role involves identifying the right products and vendors, negotiating competitive commercials, developing the product assortment, and staying updated with market trends and customer preferences.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and source household products, brands and new product opportunities for retail.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, distributors, manufacturers and suppliers.
- Negotiate purchase prices, margins, payment terms and commercial agreements.
- Conduct market research to understand customer demand, product trends and competitor pricing.
- Plan and maintain the right product assortment, category mix and price points.
- Evaluate new products and vendors based on quality, pricing, demand and profitability.
- Track product performance and identify opportunities to improve sales and margins.
- Coordinate with internal teams on product selection, pricing, availability and launches.
- Continuously explore new vendors, products and sourcing opportunities to strengthen the household category.
Candidate Profile
- 8+ years of experience in retail sourcing, buying, category management or product sourcing.
- Strong experience in Household / Home Utility / Consumer Products categories.
- Good understanding of retail products, vendors, pricing, margins and market trends.
- Strong negotiation, vendor management and commercial skills.
- Ability to identify products based on customer requirements and market demand.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Candidates from retail, departmental stores, supermarkets, home & household retail, or consumer products will be preferred.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per year
