ABOUT THE ROLE
Urban Grey Engineering Solutions is looking for an experienced Manager – Infrastructure Finance & PPP to strengthen our Infrastructure Advisory and Project Finance capabilities.
The selected professional will work closely with our multidisciplinary engineering and project teams in developing financially viable, bankable and investment-ready infrastructure projects for Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), Government Departments, Public Sector Institutions and other infrastructure clients.
The position requires strong hands-on expertise in infrastructure financial modelling, project finance, PPP structuring, municipal finance, revenue modelling, financial viability assessment, funding strategy and asset monetisation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop detailed financial models for urban and infrastructure projects, including long-term project cash-flow models.
- Undertake financial analysis based on project CAPEX, OPEX, lifecycle costs, revenue assumptions and financing requirements.
- Calculate and analyse Project IRR, Equity IRR, NPV, DSCR, payback period, debt-service requirements and other key financial indicators.
- Develop suitable project financing structures involving institutional debt, Government support, public investment, private investment, PPP and other appropriate funding sources.
- Assess the financial viability, affordability, bankability and long-term financial sustainability of infrastructure projects.
- Develop project-specific revenue models including user charges, rentals, lease income, concession revenue, commercial development, parking revenue, advertisement rights and other monetisation opportunities.
- Undertake asset monetisation, revenue enhancement and financial sustainability studies for urban infrastructure and public assets.
- Prepare sensitivity and scenario analyses covering variations in CAPEX, OPEX, demand, revenue, interest rates, financing terms and implementation schedules.
- Evaluate and assist in structuring suitable PPP and concession models including BOT, DBFOT, Lease, Concession, O&M and Hybrid structures.
- Develop debt financing and repayment models and assess project debt-servicing capacity.
- Work closely with engineers, architects, planners and other technical professionals to translate engineering proposals into robust financial and commercial models.
- Prepare financial and commercial sections of DPRs, feasibility studies, business plans, investment proposals and project appraisal reports.
- Support project appraisal, lender/investor presentations and financial discussions with clients, Government agencies and financial institutions.
- Analyse Central and State Government infrastructure financing programmes and identify appropriate funding and convergence opportunities.
- Support Urban Local Bodies and public-sector clients in municipal finance, infrastructure investment planning, revenue improvement and asset monetisation.
- Assist the management in developing and expanding Urban Grey's Infrastructure Finance & PPP Advisory practice.
QUALIFICATION
Candidates should possess any of the following:
- MBA / PGDM in Finance, Infrastructure Finance or Infrastructure Management
OR
- B.E./B.Tech + MBA/PGDM in Finance or Infrastructure Management
OR
- CA / CFA or equivalent professional qualification with relevant infrastructure/project finance experience
OR
- Master's Degree in Finance, Economics or related discipline with relevant infrastructure finance experience
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5–8 years of relevant professional experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Infrastructure Finance

- Project Appraisal
- Asset Monetisation
Experience with infrastructure consulting firms, transaction advisory practices, financial institutions, urban development agencies, Government advisory organisations, PPP cells or infrastructure financing institutions will be preferred.

We are specifically looking for an Infrastructure / Project Finance professional rather than a conventional accounting or bookkeeping profile.
The candidate should be comfortable working with multidisciplinary technical teams and should have the ability to understand engineering project inputs and translate them into commercially and financially structured infrastructure proposals.
