Laboratory Operations Management
- Supervise and coordinate all laboratory activities and diagnostic services.
- Ensure smooth functioning of laboratory operations on a daily basis.
- Monitor sample collection, processing, testing, and reporting processes.
- Ensure adherence to laboratory SOPs and quality standards.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Implement and monitor quality control and quality assurance programs.
- Ensure compliance with NABH, infection control, biomedical waste management, and other regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external quality assessments.
- Prepare the laboratory for audits and accreditation inspections.
Staff Management
- Supervise Lab Technicians, Phlebotomists, and support staff.
- Prepare duty rosters and manage shift allocations.
- Conduct staff training, orientation, and competency assessments.
- Monitor staff performance and ensure discipline within the department.
Reporting & Turnaround Time (TAT)
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of laboratory investigations.
- Monitor and improve laboratory turnaround times.
- Investigate and resolve delays, errors, and non-conformities.
Equipment & Maintenance
- Ensure proper functioning, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and annual service contracts.
- Maintain equipment records and service logs.
Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor inventory levels of reagents, consumables, and laboratory supplies.
- Ensure timely procurement and prevent stock shortages.
- Control wastage and optimize resource utilization.
Documentation & Record Management
- Maintain laboratory records, registers, and documentation.
- Ensure proper filing and retention of reports and quality records.
- Prepare monthly laboratory statistics and management reports.
Patient Care & Service Excellence
- Ensure professional and courteous interaction with patients.
- Address patient complaints related to laboratory services.
- Work towards improving patient satisfaction and service quality.
Qualification:
- M.Sc. MLT / B.Sc. MLT / DMLT with relevant supervisory experience.
- Additional certifications in Quality Management or Laboratory Administration are preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years of laboratory experience.
- At least 1–2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a hospital laboratory.
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of clinical laboratory operations.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of NABH standards and quality management systems.
- Inventory and resource management.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in laboratory software and Hospital Information Systems (HIS).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Hours:
As per hospital operational requirements, including responsibility for emergency support, staff supervision, and departmental coordination.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
