A Staff Nurse is a registered healthcare professional responsible for providing direct patient care, monitoring health conditions, and supporting doctors and healthcare teams in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and other healthcare sector.
- Assess patients' physical and emotional conditions.
- Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiration).
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed.
- Assist doctors during examinations and medical procedures.
- Provide wound care and dressings.
- Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.
- Observe patients for changes in condition and report concerns promptly.
- Educate patients and families about treatments, medications, and care plans.
- Ensure infection control and patient safety standards are followed.
- Coordinate with healthcare teams for patient care and discharge planning.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ANM/GNM / B.Sc Nursing).
- Valid nursing registration/license (requirements vary by country/state).
- Basic computer and documentation skills.
