Job Summary
Sigachi Industries Limited is looking for a skilled Instrumentation Engineer/Technician to join the Operations & Maintenance Department. The role involves ensuring the reliability, availability, and efficient functioning of plant instrumentation and automation systems through preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities. The candidate will work closely with production and engineering teams to support uninterrupted plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of instrumentation and control systems across the plant.
- Perform calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of pressure, temperature, flow, level, and analytical instruments.
- Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of PLC, SCADA, HMI, VFDs, transmitters, control valves, sensors, and actuators.
- Attend instrumentation breakdowns and ensure timely restoration of equipment to minimize production downtime.
- Execute loop checking, commissioning, installation, and modification of instrumentation systems.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance plant reliability and operational efficiency.
- Maintain calibration records, maintenance reports, SOPs, and other departmental documentation.
- Support plant shutdowns, turnaround activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with production, utility, engineering, and EHS teams for safe and efficient plant operations.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, and statutory requirements applicable to the facility.
- Manage instrumentation spares and assist in inventory planning.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electrical & Instrumentation, or related discipline.
- 4–5 years of relevant experience in Operations & Maintenance within Pharma, Chemical, API, FMCG, Food Processing, or other continuous process industries.
Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with industrial instrumentation and automation systems.
- Knowledge of PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider, Delta, etc.) and SCADA/HMI systems.
- Expertise in calibration and maintenance of field instruments.
- Understanding of P&ID drawings, loop diagrams, instrument datasheets, and control logic.
- Familiarity with VFDs, MCCs, and industrial electrical systems.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and root cause analysis.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage maintenance activities efficiently.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Experience in regulated manufacturing environments will be preferred.
- Immediate joiners or candidates with short notice periods will be an added advantage.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹42,000.00 per month
