About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced IGCSE Computer Science Tutor to provide engaging, structured, and exam-focused online lessons to students following the Cambridge IGCSE Computer Science curriculum.
This is a fully remote position, allowing you to teach students from the comfort of your home.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct live online IGCSE Computer Science lessons.
- Teach according to the Cambridge IGCSE Computer Science curriculum.
- Cover topics including programming, algorithms, data representation, computer systems, networks, cybersecurity, databases, and Boolean logic.
- Prepare students for IGCSE examinations using past papers and exam-style questions.
- Develop students' problem-solving, computational thinking, and programming skills.
- Provide practice exercises, assignments, and constructive feedback.
- Monitor student progress and provide additional support where required.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit individual students' learning styles and abilities.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of the Cambridge IGCSE Computer Science syllabus.
- Previous experience teaching or tutoring IGCSE Computer Science is preferred.
- Good programming knowledge, particularly in the programming language used in the relevant syllabus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and simply.
- Reliable, patient, and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
- A degree in Computer Science, IT, Education, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- A reliable internet connection and suitable setup for online teaching.
