We are seeking a skilled and reliable CCTV Technician to join IOCL’s Paradeep site team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CCTV cameras and related surveillance systems to ensure continuous, high-quality monitoring and security operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and commission CCTV cameras, DVRs/NVRs, video management systems (VMS), and related hardware.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance, testing, and inspection of CCTV equipment and cabling.
- Troubleshoot and repair camera faults, recorder issues, network/video connectivity problems, and power supply faults.
- Ensure proper camera positioning, focus, and image quality, and adjust settings (exposure, motion detection, recording schedules) as required.
- Manage system upgrades, firmware updates, and integration with access control or other security systems.
- Maintain accurate service logs, maintenance records, and inventory of spare parts and equipment.
- Respond to technical incidents and provide timely on-site support during emergencies or system failures.
- Coordinate with security supervisors, contractors, and IT/network teams for system changes and improvements.
- Ensure compliance with IOCL safety, security, and site access protocols.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma/ITI in Electronics, Electrical, CCTV/Surveillance Technology, or equivalent technical qualification.
- Minimum 2 years’ hands-on experience in CCTV installation, commissioning, and maintenance (industrial or large-site experience preferred).
- Knowledge of analog and IP camera systems, DVRs/NVRs, PoE switches, cabling (UTP, coax), and basic networking.
- Familiarity with VMS platforms, RTSP/ONVIF protocols, and CCTV-related software.
- Ability to read wiring/schematic drawings and follow installation standards.
- Good troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
- Basic computer skills and understanding of network configuration (IP addressing, VLANs) is desirable.
- Valid safety training or site-specific permits (if applicable) will be an advantage.
Working Conditions:
- On-site position at IOCL Paradeep with possible shift duties and occasional extended hours during incidents or projects.
- Physical tasks include climbing ladders, working at heights, and handling equipment.
