Position Summary
We are looking for a dynamic, street-smart, and hands-on HR & Administration leader to take complete ownership of HR and Administration across the organisation. This is not a conventional HR operations role focused only on recruitment, onboarding, payroll and exits. The person must build practical systems that improve manpower availability, reduce attrition, create a fair promotion and increment process, and improve employee happiness and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
HR Strategy & Organisation Development
- Develop and implement an HR strategy aligned with business growth.
- Build scalable HR systems, processes, organisation structures and HR dashboards.
- Act as a strategic HR partner to the MD and business leadership.
Manpower Planning & Availability
- Own manpower availability across plants, Head Office and field teams.
- Create daily/weekly manpower availability and shortage tracking.
- Build recruitment pipelines, local hiring networks, employee referral programmes and backup manpower pools.
- Identify root causes of manpower shortages and implement practical corrective actions.
Attrition & Retention
- Monitor attrition by location, department, manager, tenure and employee category.
- Conduct structured exit and stay interviews and identify root causes.
- Design and implement retention initiatives, especially for critical roles and high-attrition functions.
- Track new-joiner attrition separately and drive corrective action.
Performance, Promotion & Increment System
- Create transparent, merit-based appraisal, increment and promotion systems.
- Define career progression and skill-based growth paths for employees
- Use performance, skills, attendance, experience, role criticality and market benchmarks in decision-making.
Employee Happiness & Engagement
- Introduce an Employee Happiness / Engagement Index.
- Conduct periodic employee surveys and identify location/department-wise concerns.
- Build recognition, reward, communication and grievance-resolution mechanisms.
- Improve employee facilities and overall workplace experience.
Factory HR & Industrial Relations
- Maintain strong HR presence at the shop floor through regular plant visits.
- Work closely with Plant Heads, Production and supervisors.
- Handle worker relations, contract labour, grievances and disciplinary matters proactively.
- Ensure healthy employee-management relations and statutory labour compliance.
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Improve quality and speed of hiring across functions.
- Build talent pipelines for critical positions.
- Develop relationships with consultants, institutes, technical colleges and local recruitment networks.
- Develop succession plans for critical positions.
HR Systems & Digitalisation
- Lead implementation/improvement of HRMS, attendance, payroll, recruitment tracking, performance management and employee self-service systems.
- Create reliable HR MIS and management dashboards.
- Ensure systems are adopted and actually used by managers and employees.
Administration
- Overall responsibility for hostel, security, housekeeping, visitor management, office/plant administration, employee facilities and related vendors.
- Drive administrative efficiency, service quality and cost control.
HR Team Leadership
- Lead and develop the distributed HR & Admin team.
- Delegate effectively, set measurable goals and create accountability.
- Build a strong HR team capable of handling routine operations while the HR Head focuses on systems and improvement
Experience & Background
- 12+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
- Experience handling large blue-collar and white-collar workforces and multiple locations.
- Strong exposure to Industrial Relations, manpower planning, recruitment, retention and performance management.
- Proven ability to implement HR systems/processes and deliver measurable improvements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and people-management skills.
- Street-smart, practical, decisive and comfortable interacting directly with workers, supervisors, managers and senior leadership.
- Should be willing to travel regularly to manufacturing plants.

Language Requirements
- Fluent English (mandatory)
- Hindi/ Telugu (preferred/ strong advantage)
Pay: From ₹130,000.00 per month
