About Glory Shipmanagement
Glory Shipmanagement is looking for a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our technical team and support the maintenance, repairs, and efficient operation of machinery across our managed vessels.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for main engines, auxiliary engines, pumps, purifiers, boilers, and other vessel machinery.
- Monitor vessel Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS), machinery running hours, defect reports, and maintenance activities.
- Assist in planning and coordinating dry-dockings, major overhauls, and voyage repairs.
- Coordinate with vessel crews, Technical Superintendents, vendors, and service providers to resolve technical issues.
- Ensure machinery operations and maintenance comply with Class requirements, Flag State regulations, ISM, and applicable safety standards.
- Review technical requisitions for machinery spares, equipment, and services in coordination with the Purchase Department.
- Monitor machinery performance and technical data to identify opportunities for performance improvement and energy efficiency.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in the maritime, shipping, or ship management industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience as a Marine Engineer, Technical Superintendent Assistant, or Shipboard Engineer will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of vessel machinery, maintenance, troubleshooting, and engine room operations.
- Familiarity with PMS software, Class requirements, and maritime safety standards.
- Strong analytical, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple technical priorities in a fast-paced environment.
