Role Overview
A high-profile family is seeking an experienced, highly educated, and nurturing Governess to oversee the academic, social, and personal development of their young children. This position requires a refined professional who can design bespoke educational frameworks, foster strong moral character, and instill impeccable etiquette while providing dedicated academic mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Academic Instruction: Design and execute tailored educational plans, supplement school curricula, and deliver private tutoring across core academic subjects.
- Cognitive & Intellectual Growth: Cultivate critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and creative engagement through curated learning games, reading programs, and cultural excursions.
- Etiquette & Social Mentorship: Teach refined manners, personal hygiene, emotional intelligence, and formal social etiquette to prepare the children for diverse social environments.
- Routine & Lifestyle Management: Establish structured daily schedules incorporating study time, physical activities, creative arts, and adequate rest.
- Collaborative Communication: Maintain open dialogue with parents regarding developmental milestones, learning progress, and overall well-being; coordinate with household staff as needed.
Candidate Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 7+ years in child education, private tutoring, or elite private caregiving.
- Background: Retired educators, senior primary school teachers, or academic professionals are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Development, Child Psychology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Core Competencies: Exceptional English communication skills, high emotional intelligence, absolute discretion, and adaptability to high-profile household dynamics.
