Job Title: Defence Business Development Manager (BDM)

Role Overview
The Defence BDM will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing business opportunities in the defence sector. The role requires strong knowledge of defence procurement processes, technical sales expertise, and experience in managing strategic B2B client relationships within the defence ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales and business development strategies focused on the defence sector.
- Identify and engage with key stakeholders, government agencies, OEMs, and defence contractors.
- Generate new business opportunities by leveraging relationships, market research, and defence exhibitions/events.
- Understand and navigate defence procurement processes, tenders, and compliance requirements.
- Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and presentations for defence clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing defence clients to expand business.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams to provide solutions-based selling to defence customers.
- Track sales performance, prepare reports, and provide insights on market trends and competitor activities.
- Travel across India as required for client visits, demonstrations, and business development initiatives.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience: 5–7 years in business development or sales within the defence segment.
- Proven track record of acquiring and managing defence clients or strategic accounts.
- Knowledge of defence procurement, government tenders, and compliance processes.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills within the defence ecosystem.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, result-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation) or equivalent.
- MBA / PGDM in Sales / Marketing is an added advantage.
