Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented General Manager – Ports with 15–20 years of relevant experience to lead port-related operations, infrastructure development, project execution, maintenance, and overall business coordination.
The ideal candidate should have a strong engineering background, excellent leadership capabilities, and extensive experience in managing large-scale port infrastructure, marine/terminal operations, EPC projects, or related industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage overall port operations, infrastructure and project activities.
- Plan, execute and monitor port development, construction, expansion, and maintenance projects.
- Manage engineering, construction, procurement, contractors, consultants and site teams.
- Ensure projects are delivered within approved time, cost, quality and safety parameters.
- Coordinate with government authorities, port authorities, statutory bodies, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders.
- Review project drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, contracts and project schedules.
- Monitor project progress, identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Manage budgets, cost control, resource planning and commercial aspects of projects.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity, efficiency and profitability.
- Lead and mentor senior management, engineering and operations teams.
- Review MIS, project reports, KPIs and operational performance on a regular basis.
- Support business development, tendering, contract management and strategic planning.
- Handle major operational issues, negotiations and escalations with clients and stakeholders.
- Present project and operational updates to senior management/management committee.

- Expertise in project planning, execution, budgeting and cost control.
- Strong contract, commercial and vendor management capabilities.
- Knowledge of statutory approvals, safety standards and regulatory compliance.
Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
