Design Project Coordination Manager
Archfusion Design – RD Business Solutions LLP | Mumbai | 5–10 Years Experience
About the Role
Archfusion Design is the Architectural Design division of RD Business Solutions LLP, with architects and draughtsmen based in Mumbai working on projects across DRC Africa. We are looking for an experienced coordinator to act as the key link between our Africa project sites and the Mumbai design team. The main objective is to handle routine site queries efficiently so that our architects and draughtsmen can focus on design and drawing work.
Key Responsibilities
· Act as the main point of contact for architectural and design-related queries from project sites.
· Understand, document and track site queries until they are resolved.
· Review drawings, photographs and site information and resolve routine queries independently wherever possible.
· Escalate only important or design-critical issues to the architects.
· Coordinate with architects and draughtsmen in Mumbai and follow up on required responses and revised drawings.
· Maintain a site query / RFI tracker and ensure timely closure of pending issues.
· Coordinate drawing revisions and ensure the latest drawings and instructions are communicated to site.
· Participate in video calls with site teams when required.
· Identify recurring site issues and suggest improvements to drawings and coordination processes.
Ideal Candidate
· 5–10 years of experience in architectural coordination, design coordination, site coordination or a similar role.
· B.Arch, Diploma in Architecture, Civil Engineering or a related qualification preferred.
· Good understanding of architectural and construction drawings.
· Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office / Excel.
· Experience dealing with site teams, contractors and consultants.
· Strong written and spoken English.
· Good problem-solving, communication and follow-up skills.
· Highly organised, detail-oriented and capable of handling multiple projects.
· International project experience, particularly Africa, will be an advantage.
What We Expect From This Role
· Reduce the amount of routine site-query work reaching our architects and draughtsmen.
· Ensure site queries are properly understood, prioritised, documented and closed.
· Improve response time between the Mumbai office and project sites.
· Allow our architects to spend more time on design and less time on repetitive site coordination.
