Oracle Essbase / Hyperion Planning - Support Engineer
The Essbase & Data Services Support Engineer is responsible for providing end-to-end support for Oracle Essbase/Hyperion Planning applications, SQL Server databases, .NET-based applications, and Azure infrastructure. The role focuses on ensuring system availability, performance, data integrity, and operational stability while supporting enterprise planning and reporting platforms.
- Provide end-to-end support for Oracle Essbase and Hyperion Planning applications.
- Perform data loads, metadata management, cube maintenance, and quarterly rollovers.
- Support contract and recap reporting, including report generation and publication.
- Monitor and troubleshoot application servers, including service restarts, security configuration, and issue resolution.
- Administer and maintain SQL Server databases to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Perform database monitoring, performance tuning, backup, and optimization activities.
- Ensure database security, integrity, and operational reliability.
- Support .NET-based applications and Azure-hosted environments.
- Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with development and infrastructure teams.
- Maintain operational documentation and support continuous service improvements.
- Strong experience with Oracle Essbase and Hyperion Planning.
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server Database Administration (DBA).
- Expertise in SQL Server performance tuning, monitoring, and optimization.
- Experience with data loads, metadata management, and cube maintenance.
- Application server administration and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of .NET-based applications and enterprise application support.
- Experience supporting Azure infrastructure and cloud-hosted applications.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with Azure services and cloud operations.
- Knowledge of PowerShell or automation scripting.
- Exposure to ETL processes and enterprise data integration.
- Experience with ITIL processes and production support.
- Understanding of backup, disaster recovery, and high availability concepts.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and incident management.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
