Roles and Responsibilities:
- Vendor Management & Development: Sourcing, evaluating, and building relationships with new and existing suppliers in the Surat textile market to ensure a reliable supply chain.
- Negotiation & Cost Optimization: Negotiating prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to secure the best rates and improve margins.
- Trend Analysis & Procurement Planning: Analyzing market trends and sales data to forecast demand and make informed, proactive purchasing decisions.
- Quality Control & Assurance: Inspecting materials (raw fabrics, finished sarees) to meet established standards and handling defective goods.
- Order Processing & Logistics: Managing the full purchase order (PO) cycle, including placing orders, tracking shipments, and ensuring on-time delivery from mills/suppliers.
- Inventory & MIS Reporting: Monitoring stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking, and preparing daily/monthly Management Information System (MIS) reports.
- Internal Collaboration: Collaborating with design, production, and sales departments to align purchasing with production schedules and sales targets.
Key Requirements:
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of fabrics, garment manufacturing, and the textile industry (specifically in Surat) is crucial.
- Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to secure favorable terms and build lasting relationships.
Common Qualifications:
- Experience in purchasing or supply chain within the saree, apparel, or fabric industry.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
