As we continue to expand our manufacturing operations, we are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to lead our shop-floor operations and ensure operational excellence.
Job Summary
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for planning, supervising, and monitoring daily production activities while ensuring production targets, quality standards, safety compliance, and operational efficiency are consistently achieved. The ideal candidate should possess excellent leadership skills and have experience managing a workforce of 50+ employees in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily production meetings to communicate shift plans and achieve daily production targets.
- Allocate work effectively among operators and workmen to maximize productivity and optimize manpower utilization.
- Supervise and manage a workforce of 50+ employees.
- Monitor hourly production performance and implement corrective actions whenever required.
- Control absenteeism and overtime (OT) to ensure efficient manpower planning.
- Ensure proper implementation and sustainability of 5S across the production floor.
- Maintain strict discipline and adherence to company policies on the shop floor.
- Ensure all safety standards, PPE usage, and safe work practices are followed.
- Coordinate with the Quality team to minimize scrap, rework, and rejection while improving productivity.
- Ensure production schedules are completed within the planned timelines.
- Maintain production reports, shift reports, attendance records, and performance data.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and process improvement activities.
- Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machines, and production resources.
- Maintain high product quality standards while meeting production deadlines.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Stores, and Planning teams to ensure smooth production operations.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (Preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience as a Production Supervisor in a manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience handling 50+ manpower.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets.
