Job Summary
We are hiring a Consultant Cardiologist for a well-established and reputed multi-specialty hospital in Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu.
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Cardiologist to diagnose, treat, and prevent diseases related to the heart and cardiovascular system. The Cardiologist will provide comprehensive patient care, perform diagnostic evaluations, interpret test results, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients through consultations, medical history reviews, and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and manage cardiovascular diseases including coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, hypertension, and congenital heart disorders.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests such as ECG/EKG, Echocardiography, Stress Tests, Holter Monitoring, CT/MRI, and Cardiac Catheterization.
- Develop individualized treatment plans, including medications, lifestyle modifications, and procedural interventions.
- Perform or supervise cardiac procedures as per specialization and hospital privileges.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as required.
- Educate patients and families regarding heart health, disease prevention, and treatment options.
- Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education activities.
Required Qualifications
- MBBS with MD/DNB in General Medicine.
- DM/DNB in Cardiology.
- Valid medical registration with the relevant medical council.
- Fellowship or additional certification in Cardiology (preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in Cardiology.
