Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SolidWorks Design Engineer with 1–3 years of experience in mechanical design and product development. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in 3D modeling, sheet metal design, assembly creation, and manufacturing drawings while ensuring designs are optimized for production and functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and modify 3D part models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
- Develop detailed 2D engineering drawings with proper dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T standards.
- Design and optimize sheet metal components, including bend allowances and flat pattern generation.
- Create and maintain weldment structures, configurations, and assembly models.
- Perform assembly checks, interference detection, and resolve fitment-related issues.
- Implement engineering design changes through ECO (Engineering Change Orders).
- Generate and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and revision-controlled documentation.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to ensure Design for Manufacturing (DFM) compliance.
- Select appropriate materials based on application requirements, cost, and manufacturability.
- Support product development activities from concept through production.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks for advanced part and assembly modeling.
- Hands-on experience in sheet metal design, bend allowance calculations, and flat pattern creation.
- Ability to create complete 2D manufacturing drawings with GD&T standards.
- Knowledge of weldments, configurations, and assembly management.
- Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
- Good knowledge of material selection, fits, tolerances, and mechanical design fundamentals.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as fabrication, machining, and sheet metal production.
- Experience working with real-world assemblies, enclosures, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to identify and resolve assembly interferences and design-related issues.
- Experience managing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and design revisions.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including debugging assembly mates and optimizing designs.
- Knowledge of BOM creation, revision control, and basic SolidWorks PDM.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for BOM management and engineering documentation.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
