Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment in the aluminium extrusion plant. The candidate will ensure maximum machine availability, minimize downtime, and maintain compliance with safety and electrical standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems and plant machinery.
Troubleshoot electrical faults in extrusion presses, billet heaters, ageing ovens, air compressors, EOT cranes, DG sets, and utility equipment.
Maintain electrical panels, MCCs, PCCs, VFDs, PLC-controlled systems, motors, transformers, and switchgear.
Install, test, and commission new electrical equipment and machines.
Monitor power distribution systems and ensure efficient energy utilization.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control circuits.
Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to minimize machine downtime.
Maintain maintenance logs, breakdown records, and spare parts inventory.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and company EHS policies.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and plant efficiency.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of industrial electrical maintenance.
Experience with PLCs, VFDs, AC/DC drives, motors, sensors, and industrial automation.
Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot control circuits.
Good understanding of preventive maintenance practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Teamwork and communication skills.
Preferred Experience
Experience in aluminium extrusion or any continuous process manufacturing industry.
Hands-on experience with hydraulic press electrical systems and industrial automation.
Knowledge of TPM, 5S, and electrical safety standards.
