Technical Intern (Software Operations & QA)

About Us
Starbase Innovations is building Swastha, a digital operating system for waste management and the circular economy. Our platform enables waste collectors, fleet operators, recyclers, producers, and government agencies to digitally manage operations, ensure compliance, and improve efficiency through real-time data and intelligent workflows.
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Technical Intern to support our product team in testing, user onboarding, system administration, and day-to-day technical operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) of web and mobile applications.
- Identify, document, and report bugs with clear reproduction steps.
- Verify bug fixes and ensure system quality before feature releases.
- Onboard new users onto the platform and provide initial training and support.
- Manage user accounts, roles, permissions, and access requests.
- Assist in configuring customer accounts and maintaining system data.
- Coordinate with the development team to communicate issues, feature requests, and user feedback.
- Support software deployments, system updates, and release validation.
- Prepare user guides, FAQs, and basic technical documentation.
- Monitor platform usage and help resolve user-reported issues.
- Contribute ideas for improving product usability and operational efficiency.
- Assist in other technical and operational tasks as required.
Required Skills
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of software applications and testing concepts.
- Basic knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, and web technologies is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
- Familiarity with software testing tools and bug tracking systems.
- Basic understanding of APIs and REST services.
- Knowledge of SQL.
- Experience with Git or version control systems.
- Exposure to SaaS platforms or startup environments.
