ABOUT PRAVAAYU
Pravaayu Speciality Clinic is Mumbai's leading evidence-based Ayurveda clinic chain specializing in bone and joint health — offering a structured, non-surgical alternative for conditions like knee OA, frozen shoulder, ankylosing spondylitis, and autoimmune musculoskeletal conditions. With 5 active locations across Borivali West, Ghatkopar East, Andheri West, Malad West, and Thane, and a proprietary CVRT® clinical protocol published in a peer-reviewed international journal, we are building the future of modern Ayurveda.
We are a fast-moving, high-accountability, founder-led team. If you love building systems, thrive in complexity, and want a front-row seat to scaling a real healthcare brand — this role is for you.
ROLE SUMMARY
The HR Associate — Business Operations sits at the intersection of people, performance, and operations. You will be the operational backbone that keeps the human side of Pravaayu running — from hiring and onboarding to policy execution, payroll coordination, staff engagement, and workforce compliance. This is not a 9-to-5 HR admin job. This role is for someone who thinks like an operator, acts like a founder, and cares deeply about the people delivering patient care every day.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Onboarding, Induction & Training
- Own the end-to-end onboarding process: documentation, system access, clinic orientation, and buddy assignment
- Ensure all new joiners complete structured induction within defined timelines
- Monitor and track induction training progress for every new team member across all clinic locations
- Coordinate with clinic heads and trainers to ensure training milestones are met on schedule
- Maintain and update the Employee Ready Reckoner, induction checklists, and training calendars
- Follow up on training gaps and escalate to the Founder where induction compliance is at risk
2. HR Operations & Compliance
- Maintain accurate employee records (digital + physical) across all clinic locations
- Manage attendance, leave tracking, and overtime records in coordination with clinic admins
- Process monthly payroll inputs — verify attendance, compute deductions, and coordinate with payroll processor
- Ensure compliance with PF, ESIC, professional tax, and applicable labour laws
- Manage exit formalities — clearance, F&F settlement, and documentation
3. Performance Management
- Support implementation of the KRA/KPI framework across all clinic roles
- Coordinate monthly and quarterly performance review cycles
- Prepare performance dashboards and flag underperformers to clinic heads and Founder
- Assist in issuing PIPs (Performance Improvement Plans) and tracking outcomes
4. Employee Engagement & Culture
- Drive Pravaayu's core values (Patient First, Compassionate, Stay Honest, Own It) through people programs
- Organize team meets, recognition initiatives, and culture events across locations
- Conduct structured employee feedback surveys and pulse checks; present actionable insights
- Act as the first point of contact for employee concerns and grievance resolution
5. Policy Implementation & Documentation
- Own the implementation and communication of all HR policies (leave, payroll, overtime, code of conduct)
- Ensure all staff sign and adhere to policy declarations
- Keep HR documentation current and audit-ready at all times
6. Founder's Office Support
- Prepare HR reports and people analytics for the Founder on a weekly/monthly basis
- Support ad-hoc operational and strategic projects at the Founder's direction
- Draft HR communications — offer letters, warning letters, internal notices, announcements
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Must-Have
- 1–3 years of HR operations experience, preferably in healthcare, hospitality, or multi-location service businesses
- Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws, payroll basics, PF/ESIC compliance
- Excellent communication in English and Hindi (Marathi is a plus)
- Proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets for tracking and reporting
- High ownership mindset — you close loops without being chased
- Discretion and professional maturity in handling sensitive HR matters
Good to Have
- Exposure to HRMS/payroll software (e.g., Keka, Zoho People, GreytHR)
- Experience working in a founder-led startup or fast-growing SME
- Familiarity with KRA/KPI-based performance management systems
- Basic understanding of healthcare workforce dynamics
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE (FIRST 90 DAYS)
- All employee records digitized, standardized, and audit-ready across all 5 locations
- Recruitment TAT (Time-to-Fill) reduced to under 21 days for non-clinical roles
- Monthly payroll inputs submitted on time with zero errors for 3 consecutive months
