Qatar Airways is seeking experienced professionals to join its established Global Business Services (GBS) operations in Ahmedabad, India, as Manager I2P.
Responsible for driving strategic transformation and continuous improvement across the entire I2P process ecosystem while building organizational capability for sustainable service excellence. Focus on I2P modernization, digital innovation, and operational excellence, ensuring Qatar Airways achieves next generation process maturity and competitive advantage. Lead the Quality Check, Reconciliation, and Control Monitoring activities across the Invoice to Pay (I2P) process, ensuring accurate and compliant invoice and payment processing, strong control adherence, and audit readiness. The role involves managing AMD based team, engaging with stakeholders, driving root cause resolution, and supporting continuous improvement in control effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
Strategic
- Lead I2P Digital Transformation Roadmap - Develop and execute multi-year strategic transformation program aligned with Qatar Airways digital vision. Identify emerging technologies (AI/ML, automation, advanced analytics) and architect enterprise-wide adoption strategy
- Process Innovation & Modernization - Redesign I2P processes for future state operating model. Establish center of excellence for continuous process optimization methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Design Thinking)
- Change Management & Capability Building - Drive organizational change across stakeholders. Build internal competency in transformation methodologies and change adoption to ensure sustainable improvement
- Competitive Benchmarking - Establish continuous benchmarking program against industry leaders. Identify and evaluate emerging best practices, technology solutions, and process models
Operational
- Oversee Operational Performance - Ensure daily I2P operations meet defined KPIs and SLAs while maintaining quality standards. Delegate operational execution to IG.07 I2PManager with clear accountability frameworks
- Enable Technology Intervention in I2P - Architect and implement intelligent automation solutions (OCR, RPA, AI/ML, IDP) across I2P processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort
- Lead Financial Control Framework - Design and implement robust financial controls, internal procedures, and compliance mechanisms for payables processing and vendor payment excellence.
- Manage & Lead AMD CDC I2P organisation ensuring all staff act according to the standard required to operate a best-in-class I2P organisation.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance - Maintain adherence to statutory and legal requirements. Stay updated with regulatory changes and implement necessary procedural adjustments
- Perform other department duties related to his / her position as directed by the Head of the Department
Thought Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Executive Advisory - Provide strategic counsel to CDC Head and VP Finance Services on I2P performance, transformation opportunities, and business impact. Prepare executive presentations and strategic briefs
- Cross-Functional Collaboration - Strengthen partnerships with internal stakeholders (Finance, Procurement, HR, IT) and external partners to drive integrated solutions and process improvements
- Knowledge Management - Establish knowledge repository and documentation of process standards, procedures, and best practices for organizational learning and scalability
- Training & Development Program - Develop and deliver training programs on new processes, technologies, and compliance requirements to build team capability
- Risk Management & Mitigation - Identify process risks, operational vulnerabilities, and compliance gaps. Develop risk mitigation strategies and internal controls framework
- Quality Assurance & Audit - Lead design and implementation of internal audit and quality assurance programs to ensure process integrity and compliance
Transformation Responsibilities
- Orchestrate I2P Process Reengineering - Lead end-to-end process redesign initiatives to address business needs and emerging market requirements
- Build Transformation Capability - Mentor and coach team on change management, problem-solving, and strategic thinking to develop future leaders
- Monitor and Report Transformation KPIs - Track transformation program metrics, deliver milestone updates, and communicate progress to GBS leadership
- Establish Innovation Forum - Create cross-functional forum for continuous innovation and idea generation related to I2P processes
- Manage Technology Evaluation & POCs - Lead evaluation of new technologies, manage proof-of-concept initiatives, and provide recommendations on adoption
Management & Leadership
- Establish the department or teams objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives.
- Regularly evaluate the department or teams objectives, plans, procedures and practices, and makes appropriate changes if needed.
- Oversee and supervise employees. Direct daily activities, recruit, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
- Train and develop other employees, to ensure succession planning is in place.
