The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is responsible for providing timely pre-hospital emergency medical care and safe patient transportation. The role involves assessing patients, administering basic and advanced life support as per protocols, and ensuring the ambulance and medical equipment are always operational and ready for emergency response.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide immediate medical care.
- Assess patients' condition and administer appropriate pre-hospital treatment.
- Perform Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) procedures as per training and organizational protocols.
- Safely assist in transporting patients to healthcare facilities.
- Monitor and document patients' vital signs and treatment provided during transport.
- Coordinate effectively with hospitals, emergency response teams, and dispatch personnel.
- Maintain patient records and complete all required documentation accurately.
- Ensure the ambulance, medical equipment, and emergency supplies are clean, functional, and adequately stocked.
- Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and organizational guidelines.
- Participate in training programs and maintain required certifications.
Qualification
- GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / Diploma or Degree in Emergency Medical Technology (EMT) or equivalent qualification.
- Valid BLS certification (Mandatory).
- ALS certification is preferred.
Experience
- Freshers and experienced candidates are welcome to apply.
- Experience in emergency care, ICU, casualty, or ambulance services will be an added advantage.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
