Position Summary
The Draftsman is responsible for translating architectural concepts into precise technical drawings and documentation. This role bridges design intent and construction reality, requiring accuracy, consistency, and a strong command of drafting tools and standards.
Key Responsibilities
● Prepare detailed architectural drawings including plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.
● Update and revise drawings based on architect and client feedback.
● Maintain drawing accuracy, scale, and layer standards.
● Coordinate with architects to clarify design intent.
● Prepare working drawings, submission sets, and municipal documentation.
● Organize and manage digital drawing files for easy team access.
Skills and Competencies
● Technical Precision: Ability to produce clear, accurate, and consistent technical drawings.
● Interpretation: Understand architectural concepts and convert them into detailed documentation.
● Communication: Effective coordination with architects and consultants.
● Problem Solving: Identify drawing inconsistencies and suggest solutions.

Technical Knowledge / Tools
● Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD; working understanding of Revit preferred.
● Drawing Standards: Strong grasp of line weights, layer systems, title blocks, and annotation conventions.
● Construction Knowledge: Familiarity with materials, dimensions, and joinery.
● Documentation Sets: Experience preparing working, submission, and tender drawings.
● Digital Management: Organized handling of drawing sets, revisions, and backups.

To grow into the Architect role, a draftsman should:

Pay: ₹10,016.53 - ₹21,000.00 per month
