About the role
This is a hands-on architect role that owns the technical solution behind our bids — turning a tender and its corrigenda into a compliant, technically credible and competitive proposal, and then anchoring that design through delivery.
You will personally design solutions and author the technical documents, across both on-premises (including air-gapped) and cloud environments, including GPU-based hardware for AI workloads. This is not a coordination-only role: you are expected to produce the architecture and the solution content, not merely assemble inputs from others.
Key responsibilitiesSolutioning & architecture
- On-prem and cloud turning requirements into deployable designs across on-premises (including air-gapped/isolated) and cloud, including empanelled / government community cloud.
- Data & databases data and database migration, including heterogeneous / cross-engine RDBMS migration — schema and stored-code conversion, ETL, change-data-capture, reconciliation, cutover and rollback.
- AI / GenAI self-hosted LLMs, RAG and NLU, conversational / chatbot systems, with secure API and channel integrations and live-agent handoff.
- GPU hardware sizing and specifying GPU servers (and the surrounding CPU, storage, network and high-availability design) for AI / LLM inference, on-prem and on cloud.
- Resilience & platform HA/DR (active-active, RPO/RTO), containerised / microservice platforms, and API / middleware integration.
- Security & compliance access control, encryption, data residency, audit and applicable data-protection requirements, designed in from the start.
- Deliverables solution document, architecture diagrams, sizing / effort models, scope of work, RACI, manpower plan and project plan.
Pre-sales & bid management
- interpret RFPs, corrigenda and addenda; resolve conflicting clauses by precedence; reconcile the bill of quantities.
- build the compliance matrix and ensure every requirement is traceably addressed.
- track eligibility / pre-qualification criteria, OEM and partner tie-ups, and consortium / subcontracting rules.
- defend scope boundaries (in-scope vs out-of-scope; client-provided vs vendor-built) and keep the proposal in one consistent voice.
- coordinate OEM, partner and SME inputs and deliver a compliant, on-time submission.
Through delivery
- hand the design to the delivery team and remain the technical authority on the solution; support clarifications, technical presentations and negotiations.
Required experience & skills
- Government bidding demonstrable, end-to-end experience solutioning government / PSU IT tenders — owning the solution, not only coordinating the process.
- On-prem + cloud strong architecture across on-premises and cloud, including air-gapped / isolated environments.
- GPU sizing and deploying GPU servers for AI / LLM workloads.
- Data database migration at scale, including heterogeneous / cross-engine migration.
- AI / GenAI self-hosted LLM, RAG and chatbot architecture.
- Platform & security HA/DR, containers / orchestration, and security-by-design.
- Technical writing able to author submission-grade solution documents that read cleanly to a government evaluator.
Qualifications
- B.E. / B.Tech / MCA or equivalent; relevant architecture, cloud, database or AI certifications are a plus.
- roughly 8–14 years overall, with a meaningful share in pre-sales / solutioning for government or large-enterprise bids.
What success looks like
- bids that are compliant, technically credible and competitive — and convert.
- solution documents and sizing that hold up through evaluation and delivery without rework.
- scope and commercials defended so the won project is deliverable and profitable.
