Job Overview
NIM Technologies is looking for a motivated and professional Academic Counselor to join our team in Nagercoil.
The role involves communicating with students and prospective learners, understanding their educational and career interests, providing accurate information, maintaining follow-ups, and supporting them throughout the application process.
This is a customer-facing role suitable for candidates who have strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and an interest in education, career guidance, and student support.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle student enquiries through phone calls, WhatsApp, email, and other communication channels.
- Understand students' educational interests, career goals, and learning requirements.
- Provide clear and accurate information based on students' requirements.
- Explain available programs, eligibility criteria, schedules, and application procedures.
- Communicate professionally with students and prospective learners.
- Conduct timely follow-ups and maintain regular communication with prospective students.
- Maintain accurate records of enquiries, follow-ups, and communication.
- Build and maintain positive professional relationships with students.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth handling of enquiries and applications.
- Assist students throughout the application and onboarding process.
- Meet assigned individual and team performance objectives.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, reviews, and other professional activities.
- Maintain professional communication and follow organizational processes.
Requirements

- Candidates with 0–2 years of relevant experience may also apply.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Confident and professional approach when communicating with students.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Good follow-up and organizational skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and Google Workspace.
- Ability to communicate effectively in Tamil and English.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
- Candidates who are comfortable working in an on-site environment are preferred.

Compensation
Salary: ₹10,000 – ₹25,000 per month, based on skills, communication ability, and experience.
