The Operations Controlling Manager will support Operations Controlling for achievement of Operations cost deliverables by ensuring cost analysis and KPIs tracking, cost forecasts, reporting, while aligning with Blue Dart's strategic cost related objectives. This role involves sound understanding of operations cost drivers, accounting and financial systems, in order to drive operational efficiency in achieving cost deliverables working closely working with Operations, regional management, finance & accounts and other related functions in the country and DHL Group.
To support direct cost deliverables at country, regional, branch and area level, ensuring robust cost analysis, management and control, planning & forecasting and effective cost governance aligned with country goals and objectives. To work closely with the Operations team at HQC and Regional levels to track, monitor and align Operations and Cost KPIs for delivery as per plan in improvement of productivity and commercial KPIs
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Operations Cost MIS : Reporting and analysis
- Ensure reporting and MIS in line with the targets for improvement
- Support and drive cost management and control of Direct Costs
- Pursue cost saving opportunities working closely with Operations, Controlling, Systems, and other teams at central and regional level.
- Work closely with Operations team in tracking and improving productivity improvement initiatives
- Support operations teams in carrying out all cost saving projects and initiatives
Cost Forecasting
- Develop formats and reporting processes for cost forecasts including mid-month cost forecasts based on revenue forecasts and volumes development across the locations
- Support in budget preparation and variance analysis with business, IT and controlling teams.
- Generate reports for variances in cost forecasts and work to meet the planned cost saving deliverables
- Work with operations teams in cost related initiatives in the areas of First Mile, Last Mile and Middle Mile costs – including Pickup and Delivery, Sorting costs, Ground Network for Ground and Air products, Hub related sorting, Handling and Clearing, Network Supplies and all such costs related to middle mile except for aviation related costs;
Team Leadership & Development

Lead, mentor, and evaluate the cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and building a robust revenue discipline to meet deliverables.

Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- : Graduate/Post Graduate (Well Experienced), Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost Accountant (CMA), or MBA in Finance
- : Analytical skills, Certification in Financial Management
Experience:
- 5 to 8 years of experience including in planning and budgeting, MIS and analysis
- Proven expertise in financial planning and controlling.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
- Expertise in financial modelling, data analytics, and reporting tools.
