About the Company
Wise Monkey Rum is an alcoholic beverage / spirits brand. We are looking for a confident, organised, and communication-focused Digital Public Relations Officer to help manage the brand’s public image, media relationships, digital PR activities, and online brand presence.
Important: This role is with a liquor / alcohol / spirits company. Only candidates who are fully comfortable working with an alcohol brand should apply.
Role Overview
We are hiring a Digital Public Relations Officer who can support the company’s PR, digital communication, media outreach, brand reputation, and online visibility.
The ideal candidate should be able to communicate professionally, coordinate with media and digital platforms, build relationships, and help position Wise Monkey Rum as a strong and credible spirits brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage digital PR activities for the brand
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, influencers, media houses, and digital publications
- Draft and coordinate press releases, media notes, brand stories, and PR communication
- Support online reputation management and brand image-building
- Coordinate with influencers, content creators, lifestyle pages, alcohol-related platforms, hospitality pages, and event pages
- Help secure online features, articles, interviews, brand mentions, and digital media coverage
- Monitor media coverage, brand mentions, online conversations, and competitor PR activity
- Support PR campaigns for product launches, events, collaborations, promotions, and brand announcements
- Coordinate with internal marketing, design, social media, and sales teams
- Maintain a media database and follow up with relevant contacts
- Assist with event PR, guest lists, media invitations, and post-event coverage
- Ensure all communication follows the brand tone, guidelines, and legal restrictions related to alcohol advertising
Requirements
- Previous experience in PR, digital PR, communications, media relations, influencer relations, or brand communication preferred
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to write clear and professional press releases, emails, media pitches, and brand communication
- Strong understanding of digital media, social media platforms, influencers, and online publications
- Good coordination, follow-up, and relationship-building skills
- Must be comfortable working with a liquor / alcohol / spirits company
- Experience in FMCG, beverage, hospitality, nightlife, events, lifestyle, luxury, or alcohol brands will be preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple communication tasks
- Professional attitude with strong attention to detail
Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone who is confident, polished, and proactive. The candidate should be able to represent the brand professionally, communicate with external partners, and help build positive visibility for Wise Monkey Rum.
This is a hands-on role, so the person should be comfortable handling both strategic PR communication and daily execution work.
Salary
₹25,000 – ₹50,000 per month
Salary will depend on experience, skills, and suitability for the role.
