Quality Engineer – Precision Machining
Mahape, Navi Mumbai | Full Time | 6 Days a Week
About the Role
EVITAR SYSTEMS is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to support Quality Assurance and Quality Control operations in precision machining.
The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to machining quality processes, GD&T interpretation, precision measuring instruments, and ISO documentation practices. Aerospace/defence manufacturing exposure will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and apply GD&T principles for inspection and verification of machined components
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections using:
- CMM
- VMM
- Height Gauge
- Micrometers
- Vernier Calipers
- Validate critical tolerances, surface finish, concentricity, and positional accuracy as per engineering drawings
- Develop inspection plans, control plans, and sampling strategies
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement CAPA for dimensional deviations
- Maintain calibration records and ensure upkeep of precision instruments
- Prepare inspection reports, measurement sheets, and traceability documentation
- Coordinate with CNC programming and production teams to resolve quality issues
- Support ISO 9001 compliance, internal audits, and customer audits
Requirements
- Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering
- 3–5 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control in precision machining or manufacturing
- Strong understanding of GD&T and technical drawing interpretation
- Hands-on experience with precision inspection instruments
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and quality documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Background
- Aerospace / Defence manufacturing exposure preferred
- Experience in precision machining environments will be highly valued
Pay: Up to ₹30,000.00 per month
