What You'll Do:
The Global Analytics & Insights (GAI) team is seeking a Technical Program Manager to organize, coordinate, and accelerate delivery across Data & Analytics Engineering programs. You will work with engineering teams, analytics stakeholders, product partners, and business leaders to ensure complex projects are delivered in a coordinated, transparent, and predictable manner.
As a Technical Program Manager, you will play a key role in managing integrated delivery plans, tracking dependencies, driving release readiness, and ensuring teams have the clarity, resources, and communication needed to deliver successfully. You will be the source of truth for program status, risks, timelines, scope, and delivery health. You'll be collaborative and comfortable working across engineering, analytics, and business teams to solve complex delivery problems. You will report to Director, Data & Analytics Engineering.
What Your Responsibilities Will Be:
As a Technical Program Manager, you will work with teams to organize and accelerate delivery, ensuring that you align all teams, manage dependencies, and make outputs production ready at launch.
-
You will plan, execute, and deliver projects from inception to completion related to data platforms, analytics engineering, cloud infrastructure, and business-critical data programs.
-
You will describe and maintain integrated plans that account for internal and external dependencies, differing delivery approaches, delivery constraints, and contingencies for unplanned delays.
-
You will manage the end-to-end delivery of engineering work across the organization and dependent teams.
-
You will report progress, identify gaps between teams and processes, and remove blockers that impact delivery. Colleagues will look to you as the first contact for program status and delivery coordination.
-
You will provide the right information and supporting data to the right audience at the right time.
-
You will transform raw thoughts, ambiguity, and scattered inputs into clear, concise, actionable communications.
-
Plan, execute, and deliver Data & Analytics Engineering programs from inception to completion, ensuring alignment across engineering, analytics, product, and business stakeholders.
-
You'll build and maintain integrated program plans covering scope, milestones, owners, dependencies, risks, delivery timelines, release readiness, and contingency plans.
-
Track delivery health and provide clear, data-driven updates on progress, blockers, scope, timing, milestone status, and production launch readiness.
-
You'll manage cross-team dependencies, identify gaps between teams or systems, and remove blockers to ensure outputs are production ready at launch.
-
Run planning sessions, delivery reviews, dependency reviews, retrospectives, stakeholder updates, and launch readiness meetings.
-
Partner with data engineers, analytics engineers, architects, and technical leads to understand technical scope, implementation risks, and delivery dependencies across SQL, Snowflake, dbt, Power BI, AWS, Terraform, CI/CD, and related data platform capabilities.
-
Support initial merge request reviews by validating delivery readiness, documentation completeness, dependency impact, test evidence, and alignment to agreed scope before deeper technical review by engineers or SMEs.
-
Maintain high-quality documentation, including project plans, decision logs, risk registers, dependency trackers, launch plans, meeting notes, and stakeholder communications.
-
Use AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT Enterprise, or approved internal AI assistants to improve productivity, summarize meetings, draft clear communications, strengthen documentation, identify risks, and improve overall program effectiveness.
-
Build relationships with engineers, managers, peers, product partners, finance stakeholders, and analytics consumers while improving delivery processes using data and retrospectives.
What You'll Need to be Successful:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
-
7+ years of experience in technical program management, engineering program management, data platform delivery, analytics program delivery, or related roles.
-
Experience with Data & Analytics Engineering concepts, including data pipelines, data modeling, analytics platforms, cloud data warehouses, and modern data stack delivery.
-
Working knowledge of SQL, Snowflake, dbt, Power BI, AWS, Terraform, CI/CD practices, and infrastructure-as-code delivery models.
-
Experience managing cross-functional technical programs with multiple teams, team members, dependencies, delivery constraints, and production launch requirements.
-
The ability to convert complex technical details and raw inputs into clear, audience-appropriate updates.
-
Stakeholder management and identify blockers, evaluate tradeoffs, and lead practical decisions.
-
Experience running meetings and maintaining delivery artifacts using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, Google Workspace, or equivalent tools.
-
Perform initial MR reviews for delivery completeness, documentation quality, test evidence, dependency impact, and scope alignment while partnering with engineers for detailed technical validation.
-
Practical experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT Enterprise, or approved internal AI assistants to improve productivity, communication quality, meeting summaries, documentation, risk identification, and decision support.
-
Define program strategy while trying to find direction from peers or managers.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience working in Data & Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Finance Analytics, or cloud data platform organizations.
-
Experience supporting programs involving Snowflake, dbt, AWS, Power BI, Airflow, Python, or similar data engineering technologies.
-
Experience working with Finance, Sales, Marketing, Customer, or Product data domains.
-
Experience managing release readiness, production launch planning, dependency management, or enterprise-scale delivery coordination.
-
Experience creating executive-level program updates, dashboards, delivery scorecards, or operational reporting.
-
Experience with Agile, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or hybrid delivery models.
