Job Description – Staff Nurse
Daily responsibilities may vary depending on patient volume. However, the role generally includes the following duties:
- Assess patients by recording vital signs, medical history, symptoms, allergies, and other relevant clinical information before consultation.
- Assist doctors during patient examinations, minor procedures, dressings, injections, and other clinical interventions.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, injections, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed, while ensuring patient safety and accurate documentation.
- Perform wound care, dressing changes, nebulization, ECGs, blood sample collection, and other nursing procedures as per clinic protocols.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, identifying and reporting any changes in condition promptly.
- Educate patients and their families on prescribed medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and follow-up instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records using the clinic's Practice Management System (PMS) and other digital healthcare platforms.
- Coordinate laboratory investigations, diagnostic tests, specialist referrals, and follow-up appointments as required.
- Prepare consultation rooms, procedure areas, and medical equipment before each patient visit and ensure they remain clean and organized.
- Maintain infection control standards by following proper sterilization, disinfection, biomedical waste disposal, and universal safety precautions.
- Monitor medical inventory, vaccines, consumables, emergency supplies, and medications, reporting low stock levels and expired items promptly.
- Assist in handling medical emergencies by providing first aid, basic life support, and coordinating emergency referrals when necessary.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and maintenance of medicines, vaccines, medical equipment, and clinical instruments.
- Support health camps, vaccination drives, screening programs, and other community healthcare initiatives organized by the clinic.
- Maintain patient confidentiality by safeguarding medical, personal, and financial information in accordance with clinic policies.
- Collaborate effectively with doctors, reception staff, laboratory personnel, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Follow all clinic policies, nursing protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements while delivering high-quality patient care.
- Contribute to overall team objectives by assisting with related clinical and administrative tasks as required.
Employment Details
Employment Type: part time, evening
Salary Range: ₹10,000 – ₹15,000 per month (based on qualifications and experience)

Preferred Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (GNM/B.Sc. Nursing)
- Valid Nursing Registration preferred
- Minimum 1 year of clinical or outpatient nursing experience preferred
- Experience using electronic medical records (EMR/PMS) and Microsoft Office is an advantage
- Experience in blood collection, injections, dressings, and basic emergency care preferred
Language Requirement
- Proficiency in English preferred
- Knowledge of Hindi and Marathi is an added advantage
