Job Summary
We are looking for a Network Engineer (L1 Level) with 2–5 years of hands-on experience in networking, basic security, CCTV systems, and structured cabling.
The role involves onsite installation, configuration, and first-level troubleshooting of network and surveillance systems, along with active participation in passive infrastructure setup and support.
Key Responsibilities
1. Switching & Routing (L1 Support)
- Perform basic configuration and support for switches and routers
- Configure:
- VLANs and port assignments
- Access and trunk ports
- Support IP addressing and basic routing setup
- Troubleshoot:
- Connectivity issues
- Port-related problems
- VLAN mismatches
2. Network Security (Basic Level)
- Assist in configuration of firewall and security devices
- Support:
- Firewall policy implementation
- NAT configuration
- Basic VPN setup and testing
- Perform basic troubleshooting of internet and access issues
3. CCTV / Surveillance Systems
- Install and configure:
- IP Cameras (Bullet, Dome, PTZ,ANPR)
- NVR/DVR systems
- Perform:
o Camera IP assignment
o Camera addition to NVR and recording setup and CCTV monitoring
o Camera not reachable
o Video loss / recording issues
o Remote viewing problems
- Assist in camera mounting and site-level verification
4. Passive Cabling & Infrastructure (Core L1 Responsibility)
- Execute structured cabling activities:
- CAT6 cable laying, crimping (RJ45), I/O punching
- Patch panel termination and patching
- Perform:
- Rack installation and cable dressing
- Proper labeling and documentation
- Use tools:
- Cable tester for connectivity validation
- Assist in fiber connectivity:
- Patch cord connections
- Basic link testing
5. Deployment & Site Activities
- Support onsite installation and commissioning of network and CCTV systems
- Coordinate with senior engineers during project execution
- Ensure readiness of infrastructure before configuration
6. Troubleshooting & Support
- Provide L1 troubleshooting support for:
- Network connectivity issues
- CCTV system faults
- Escalate complex issues to L2/L3 engineers
- Provide onsite and remote support when required
7. Documentation & Coordination
- Maintain:
- Basic IP address records
- Cable labelling details
- Camera and device mapping
- Coordinate with:
- Internal teams
- Vendors and supervisors
Required Technical Skills
Networking
- Basic knowledge of Switching & Routing
- VLAN configuration and IP addressing
- Basic troubleshooting skills
Security
- Understanding of firewall concepts
- NAT and basic VPN knowledge
Surveillance
- Knowledge of IP Cameras and NVR/DVR systems
- Basic troubleshooting of CCTV systems
Cabling
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- CAT6 crimping and I/O punching
- Patch panel and rack management
- Basic understanding of fiber connectivity
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma / Degree in IT, Networking, or Electronics
- Certifications such as CCNA (preferred)
- Experience in onsite network or CCTV projects
Soft Skills
- Good troubleshooting and learning ability
- Effective communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work in field environments and team settings
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to travel for onsite work
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet timelines
Important Note
This role is suitable for engineers with strong practical exposure to field work, including cabling, device installation, and basic configuration, with the ability to support senior engineers in project execution.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
