Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Service Engineer to install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair diesel generator (DG) sets. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with gensets and a strong understanding of diesel engines, alternators, electrical systems, and preventive maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and test diesel generator (DG) sets at customer sites.
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on gensets.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control panel faults.
- Conduct routine inspections and ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Attend customer service calls within the defined response time.
- Prepare service reports and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Coordinate with customers to schedule maintenance and provide technical support.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
- Recommend spare parts and maintenance solutions to customers.
- Coordinate with the service team to ensure timely completion of service activities.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- ITI candidates with relevant genset service experience may also be considered.
Experience
- 1–5 years of experience in servicing diesel generator (DG) sets.
- Experience with leading genset brands such as Cummins, Kirloskar, Mahindra Powerol, Caterpillar, or KOEL is preferred.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of diesel engines, alternators, AMF/ATS panels, and control systems.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
- Familiarity with preventive and breakdown maintenance procedures.
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Basic computer knowledge for service reporting.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
