Job Description
Responsible for welding, fabrication, repair, and maintenance of quarry and crusher machinery, ensuring equipment is safe, reliable, and available for continuous production.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform ARC/MIG welding and gas cutting works as required.
- Repair and fabricate crusher, conveyor, hopper, feeder, chute, screens and supporting structures.
- Carry out welding repairs on crusher frames, conveyor frames, liners, guards and platforms.
- Attend breakdown maintenance and complete emergency welding repairs quickly.
- Perform preventive maintenance and identify cracks, wear, loose joints and structural defects.
- Carry out fabrication and modification works according to site requirements.
- Repair and maintain conveyor components, brackets, rollers supports and machine structures.
- Conduct hard-facing / wear-resistant welding on high-wear components where required.
- Use welding machines, cutting machines, grinders, gas cutting equipment and hand tools safely.
- Coordinate with the Mechanical Maintenance and Production Teams during shutdown and repair activities.
- Maintain welding equipment, tools and consumables properly.
- Follow all PPE, safety, housekeeping and permit-to-work procedures.
- Ensure work is completed with proper welding quality and minimum equipment downtime.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of ARC welding, MIG welding and gas cutting.
- Experience in heavy machinery and structural fabrication.
- Ability to read basic fabrication drawings is an advantage.
- Knowledge of crusher and conveyor maintenance preferred.
- Ability to work at heights and in dusty/heavy industrial environments.
- Good understanding of workplace safety and PPE requirements.
- Physically fit and willing to work in quarry/plant conditions.
Qualification & Experience
- ITI / Diploma – Welder / Fitter / Fabrication preferred.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in quarry, crusher, mining, cement, aggregates or heavy engineering industries.
- Experienced candidates with strong practical welding skills may also be considered.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
