PPC Engineer
Job Description
The PPC Engineer is responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring production activities to ensure timely delivery, optimum resource utilization, and efficient inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders and forecasts.
- Develop and monitor production schedules to meet delivery commitments.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, Quality, and Dispatch departments.
- Monitor material availability and coordinate procurement to avoid production delays.
- Track work orders and ensure smooth production flow.
- Maintain production planning records, BOMs, routing sheets, and production reports.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
- Analyze production capacity and optimize machine and manpower utilization.
- Identify production bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions.
- Follow up on pending orders and ensure on-time completion.
- Prepare MIS reports on production status, efficiency, and delivery performance.
- Ensure adherence to production targets, quality standards, and safety procedures.
- Coordinate with customers and internal teams regarding production schedules and delivery timelines.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce production costs.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 1–3 years of experience in Production Planning & Control
- (Freshers may be considered for trainee roles).
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production planning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP software (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Understanding of BOM, Routing, Production Scheduling, and Inventory Control.
