The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.
- Account Reconciliation:
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
- General Ledger Maintenance:
- Maintain and update the general ledger to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Record journal entries and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.
- Compliance and Audit:
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulations.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor financial performance against budgeted targets and provide variance analysis.
- Tax Preparation:
- Prepare and file tax returns, including sales tax, VAT, and corporate income tax.
- Assist in tax planning and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in financial data.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
- Ensure that all records are stored in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification (preferred) or working towards certification.
- Proven experience as an accountant or similar role (typically 2-5 years).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
