Role Overview
We are seeking an Academic Assistant to join our team in Kozhikode. In this pivotal role, you will act as the vital bridge between students, faculty, and management. You will combine proactive student mentorship with robust operational coordination to maintain a seamless, high-quality learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Student Mentorship & Academic Support
- Goal-Driven Mentoring: Motivate and guide students to elevate their academic performance and achieve their learning milestones.
- Student Engagement: Foster genuine interest in core subjects and co-curricular initiatives.
- Relationship Management: Build strong, trust-based relationships with students while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Empowerment: Inspire students to take active ownership of their education and long-term career growth.
2. Daily Operations & Academic Management
- Attendance Tracking: Maintain precise daily attendance logs, verify student profiles, and flag irregularities to the admin and accounts teams.
- Classroom Readiness: Set up classrooms, prepare learning materials before sessions, and ensure faculty members have all necessary resources.
- Asset Management: Oversee the distribution, storage, and proper functioning of center assets (iPads, AV equipment, projectors, Apple TVs, microphones).
- Syllabus Oversight: Track portion books, lesson plans, and assignment schedules to ensure alignment with the academic calendar.
3. Examination & Feedback Coordination
- Exam Administration: Coordinate and invigilate internal exams while strictly upholding academic integrity.
- Result Management: Collect answer sheets, facilitate timely grading, and accurately publish student performance records.
- Feedback Loops: Gather student feedback regarding teaching quality and center satisfaction to help management drive continuous improvements.
4. Communication & Student Welfare
- Query Resolution: Serve as the primary point of contact for students, promptly resolving academic doubts and course-related queries.
- Absenteeism Follow-up: Track continuously absent students and connect with parents/guardians to identify underlying issues and find solutions.
- Announcements: Timely update timetables, schedules, and important notices across all digital and physical student communication channels.
5. Fee Collection & Financial Compliance
- Payment Reminders: Proactively notify parents and students about upcoming fee due dates.
- Transaction Handling: Process payments securely, issue official receipts, and maintain flawless internal financial registers.
- Verification & Reconciliation: Validate student discounts, report any financial mismatches, and hand over daily collections to the Accounts department with clean documentation.
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
- Eligibility: Candidates who are currently placed or listed in a verified Government Exam Rank List are highly preferred/eligible.
- Technical Skills: Comfortable operating basic classroom technology (iPads, projectors, AV equipment) and updating digital databases.
- Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, strong interpersonal skills, and a knack for active problem-solving.
- Key Attributes: High level of organization, discipline, empathy, and the ability to handle sensitive student and financial data with strict confidentiality.
- Work Format: Full-time, In-person (Kozhikode Center).
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
