Pre-Trip Inspection and Preparation
- Conduct thorough checks of tires, brakes, fluid levels, and lights before departure.
- Verify safety equipment like fire extinguishers and reflective triangles are onboard.
- Complete pre-trip inspection documentation and report mechanical defects.
Route Planning and Navigation
- Plan efficient and safe routes using maps or navigation systems.
- Account for vehicle size, weight restrictions, bridge clearances, and weather conditions.
- Adjust travel schedules to accommodate traffic or unexpected road closures.
Safe Driving and Operation
- Operate the heavy vehicle defensively and obey all national and local traffic laws.
- Manage fuel consumption efficiently and adhere to mandatory rest break regulations.
- Ensure cargo is correctly stowed, balanced, and securely fastened to prevent shifting.
Delivery and Documentation
- Verify loads against shipping manifests or invoices during loading and unloading.
- Obtain required delivery signatures, receipts, and documentation from clients.
- Maintain accurate logbooks detailing driving hours, mileage, and fuel purchases.
Communication and Post-Trip Duties
- Maintain regular contact with dispatch regarding transit status or delays.
- Perform post-trip vehicle inspections and report required maintenance.
- Keep the vehicle cab clean and store required shipping paperwork properly.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
