Job Description (JD) – Marketing Manager
Department: Marketing & Sales
Division: Machine Shop
Reports To: Director – Sales & Marketing
Key Responsibilities
A. Marketing & Business Development
- Develop and implement annual marketing and sales plans aligned with company objectives.
- Identify and develop new customers in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, Power, Water Treatment, LNG, Marine, Defence, and Industrial Valve manufacturing sectors.
- Generate enquiries and convert them into profitable business opportunities.
- Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, and customer trend analysis.
- Recommend pricing strategies in coordination with management.
- Participate in domestic and international exhibitions, technical seminars, and trade fairs.
- Promote the company's machining capabilities, manufacturing capacity, quality certifications, and technical expertise.
- Support export business development.
- DPSU- Defence public sector undertaking.
B. Customer Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships.
- Conduct customer visits and technical discussions.
- Understand customer drawings, specifications, quality requirements, delivery expectations, and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate customer audits and plant visits.
- Resolve customer complaints jointly with Quality Assurance and Production.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and recommend continual improvement initiatives.
- Ensure confidentiality of customer information.
C. Sales Management
- Coordinate preparation of quotations with Engineering and Estimation.
- Review customer RFQs and contract requirements.
- Negotiate commercial terms within delegated authority.
- Follow up quotations until order confirmation.
- Monitor monthly sales targets and annual business plans.
- Maintain sales pipeline and forecast reports.
- Support timely collection of customer payments with Finance.
D. Contract Review
- Review customer purchase orders against quotations.
- Verify technical and commercial requirements before order acceptance.
- Ensure all customer requirements are communicated to Production Planning and Engineering.
- Coordinate amendments to contracts whenever required.
- Maintain contract review records.

- Recommend participation in exhibitions and marketing events.
- Escalate customer issues to top management when necessary.
Educational Qualification
Essential
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
Preferred
- MBA in Marketing.
- Diploma/Training in Export Marketing or International Business.
Experience
- 8–12 years of industrial marketing experience.
- Minimum 5 years in precision machining, valve manufacturing, engineering products, pumps, actuators, or heavy engineering industries.
- Experience with OEMs, EPC companies, export customers, and international business development is preferred.
